Moo is famous for his daring clothing color combos. It's not unusual for strangers to approach and comment on his good eye. One woman came up and thanked him for inspiring her decorating business logo with his clever wardrobe picks.
Inspired by the spontaneity of the photographs in The Sartorialist, Project 365, here is today's Fashion Color Swatch... See any similarities to our newly upholstered chair?

Odd Couple
The Guinness Book of World Records recently launched its 2009 edition with a photo shoot on the steps of London’s Trafalgar Square. It featured the world’s shortest man, Pingping from China who stands just 2 ft 5.37 inches with Svetlana Pankratova from Russia (although not the tallest woman in the world at 6 ft 4 inches), has the leggiest pair of legs at 4 ft 3.9 inches.

A day in the 'burbs...
... gave us a chance to stop at McDonald's and relive our child-hood "Happy Meal" memories. Still nervous from all of those "Super Size Me" revelations, we were surprised by which menu items were the biggest killers calorie-wise. The biggest surprise came when comparing nutritional values for the Big Mac and the Premium Chicken Club sandwiches...
- Big Mac (pictured) - 540 calories (better than we imagined)
- Premium Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich - 530 calories (thought it would be lower...)
- Premium Crispy Chicken Club Sandwich - 630 calories (Whoa!)
So if you're having a 'Mac Attack' and think the safer path is the Chicken, just go with your gut.

Ready...Set....Run!!!
Summer heat is waning. And the cool, crisp air is making us want to hit the pavement. The big question... do you have proper running shoes?
If yours are looking ragged, make sure you get a pair that gives you the right amount of support and control. First step: know your body. How are your arches? What kind of pronator are you?

Ice Cream Soda or a Soda Float?
Didn't know there was a difference, until the good folks at Stewart's taught us otherwise...
Ice Cream Soda: 3 oz ice cream + 1 oz half & half + 1 1/2 oz syrup + fill with seltzer
Soda Float: 3 oz ice cream + 10 oz soda of your choice
Ice Cream Soda: 3 oz ice cream + 1 oz half & half + 1 1/2 oz syrup + fill with seltzer
Soda Float: 3 oz ice cream + 10 oz soda of your choice
May we suggest Stewart's excellent "Fountain Classics" rootbeer and vanilla icecream? Yum!

"Mini" Cravings
Dell "Mini" was released today. Although fairly inexpensive (starting at $349), it packs a powerful punch. A bright 8.9 inch LED display, solid state drive (SSD), and built in WiFi.
Will premium "mini" offerings from Fujitsu and Sony feel the pressure? Only time will tell.

Guadalajara...Vamanos!
We just booked tickets to Guadalajara! Why?
- "Chicago" of the South, economically & architecturally
- center of cultural activity
- gateway to beach resorts: Puerto Vallarta, Manzanillo & Mazatlan
- well connected to Mexico City (we will spend a few days there too)
- "Green" - has distinctive network of car-free streets
- all year-around San Diego-like-weather
- expat-friendly (Lake Chapala / Ajijic)
- and last but not least... authentic Mexican cuisine!! :-)
